Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and any other desired burger toppings

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Mix Well: Using your hands or a spatula, mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Be careful not to overmix to keep the burgers tender.

Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a burger patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Preheat Grill or Skillet: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.

Cook the Burgers: Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the burgers are golden brown.

Toast the Buns: During the last couple of minutes of cooking, cut the whole wheat burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

Assemble the Burgers: Once cooked, remove the chicken patties from the heat. Place each patty on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Add your preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, and any sauces.

Serve: Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
