Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

4 tbsp unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/3 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Cook the Beef:

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes).

      Prepare the Garlic Butter:

Once the beef is cooked, lower the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir and cook until the garlic is fragrant and soft, about 2 minutes.

          Add the Sauces:

Pour in the honey and BBQ sauce, stirring well to combine. Allow the mixture to cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until heated through and slightly caramelized. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

              Warm the Tortillas:

In a separate skillet or directly over a flame, warm the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.

                  Assemble the Tacos:

On each tortilla, place a generous scoop of the BBQ beef mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced avocado. Sprinkle crumbled queso fresco or cheese and garnish with fresh cilantro.

                      Serve:

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!
