Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1/3 cup sweet chili sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust for spice preference)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)

Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix the Meatball Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.

Shape the Meatballs: Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Prepare the Firecracker Sauce: While the meatballs are baking, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and Sriracha in a small bowl until smooth.

Combine Meatballs and Sauce: Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and add them to a large skillet over medium heat. Pour the firecracker sauce over the meatballs, gently tossing to coat them evenly in the sauce. Let simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Enjoy: Serve your firecracker meatballs over rice or noodles, or enjoy them as an appetizer with toothpicks!
