8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

    Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once hot, add the shrimp, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

        Combine: Lower the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and creamy. Add the cherry tomatoes and cooked shrimp back into the skillet, tossing gently to combine.

          Toss with Pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
