Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped

4 strips of crispy bacon, chopped

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup green onions, sliced

2 large sub rolls or hoagie buns

1 cup lettuce, shredded

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Optional: sliced tomatoes and pickles for added crunch

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded or chopped chicken, chopped bacon, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions. Stir until everything is well mixed and the chicken is evenly coated with the ranch dressing.

Season: Add freshly cracked black pepper to taste. You can adjust the amount of ranch dressing if you prefer a creamier mix.

Toast the Sub Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the sub rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Optionally, you can spread a thin layer of butter on the insides of the rolls. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.

Assemble the Sub: Once the rolls are toasted, layer the shredded lettuce at the bottom of each sub roll. Scoop generous amounts of the chicken, bacon, and ranch mixture on top of the lettuce.

Add Extras: If desired, add slices of tomatoes and pickles for additional flavor and crunch.

Serve: Close the sub rolls and slice them in half if you prefer smaller portions. Serve immediately while warm.
