Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a Mexican blend)

½ cup salsa

¼ cup diced onions (optional)

¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking spray or parchment paper for baking

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with cooking spray or lined with parchment paper.

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the cooked ground beef and taco seasoning. Stir well and add in the salsa. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the mixture to blend well. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles following the perforated lines.

Assemble the Taco Sticks: On each triangle of dough, spoon about 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture and sprinkle with shredded cheese, diced onions, and olives if using.

Roll Them Up: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each triangle towards the pointed end to form a stick. Pinch the edges to seal, and place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl, then brush the mixture over each taco stick to give them a nice golden color when baked.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the taco sticks are golden brown and puffed.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute before serving. Enjoy warm with additional salsa, guacamole, or sour cream on the side.
