4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

      Place the butter into a large oven-safe skillet (preferably cast iron) and place it in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes until the butter is melted and bubbly.

        Carefully remove the skillet from the oven and pour the batter evenly over the melted butter.

          Return the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pancake is puffed up and golden brown around the edges.

            Once baked, remove the pancake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. It will deflate a bit, which is normal.
